Seal will be performing at the “The Motown Sound: In Performance at the White House” on on Thursday, February 24.

“The Motown Sound: In Performance at the White House” is a PBS music special in the East Room of the White House.  President and Mrs. Obama will host the event on Thursday, February 24 in celebration of Black History Month and the legacy of Motown, the distinctive soul-infused pop music sound, style and presentation that was born in Detroit and embodied by the Motown Records label.

The talent line-up for the show is program host Jamie Foxx and performances by Foxx, Natasha Bedingfield, Sheryl Crow, the group Gloriana, Nick Jonas, Ledisi, John Legend, Amber Riley, Smokey Robinson, Mark Salling, Seal and Jordin Sparks.

The program will premiere Tuesday, March 1 at 8 p.m. ET on PBS stations nationwide.  (Check local listings)

It will also be broadcast on March 11 via the American Forces Network to American service men and women and civilians at U.S. Department of Defense locations around the world.

Las Vegas, NV – GRAMMY^® Award-winning showman David Foster, whose recent 10-city Foster & Friends Tour was an extraordinary success nationwide, will return to the Mandalay Bay Events Center Friday, Oct. 15 at 8 p.m. for an extraordinary evening of music.  Foster, who gives new meaning to the Beatles tune “I Get By With A Little Help From My Friends,” will host a who’s who of incredible voices including Seal, Martina McBride, Donna Summer, Charice and many more who will perform songs either written, produced or connected to the 15-time GRAMMY winner.  The concert will be recorded by THIRTEEN for WNET.ORG for PBS broadcast on GREAT PERFORMANCES, and also will be released as a concert CD/DVD on 143/Reprise Records.

The first “Hit-Man: David Foster and Friends” was one of the most successful specials in the history of PBS.  His last show at the Mandalay Bay included surprise visits by Cher, Paul Anka and Donny Osmond.

Foster, who has been nominated for an unprecedented 45 GRAMMY Awards, won two Emmys and has earned an Oscar nomination, has discovered and nurtured the careers of megastars including Josh Groban and Michael Bublé.  He also created chart-topping hits for legends Andrea Bocelli, Barbra Streisand, Celine Dion, Madonna, Whitney Houston, Chicago, Michael Jackson, Earth, Wind & Fire and Chaka Khan.

The Mandalay Bay Events Center is a multi-purpose arena home to championship boxing, premier concerts and special events.  With seating for as many as 12,000, the Events Center offers excellent sight lines and state-of-the-art lighting and sound.  Prominent events have included concerts such as KISS, Andrea Bocelli, Josh Groban, Rascal Flatts, Toby Keith, James Taylor, Christina Aguilera, John Mayer, Kenny Chesney and Alejandro Fernandez.  World championship boxing events have featured Oscar De La Hoya vs. Felix Trinidad, Roy Jones Jr. vs. Antonio Tarver and Fernando Vargas vs. Shane Mosley.  The Mandalay Bay Events Center also is home to multiple Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) events throughout the year as well as the Latin GRAMMY Awards.
