I want to say thank you to all of you out there who have been supporting the ‘System’ tour. You’ve turned out in your thousands with incredible support and I want you all to know that it is much appreciated. We are in Prague at the moment, we arrived early this morning from Hamburg. So far the shows have been a dream and with the new band of Marc, Marcus and Steve, things couldn’t be better. I have to say that this is quite honestly the most talented and nicest, sane group of people I have ever had the good fortune to work with in fact, it doesn’t seem like work at all. Such is the advantage of playing with truly great people.
I hope you all like the look of the new site, all of my friends at ‘Magnet’ have worked really hard to and I think they’ve done a fantastic Job. I’m sure they would like to hear from you if you feel the same, if you don’t then keep it to yourselves (just kidding).
Last week, I sang for the presumptive Democratic nominee (God, that sounded so uncharacteristically political of me) and I have to say it was the highlight of my professional career. I sang the Sam Cooke song, ‘A Change Is Gonna Come’. As I walked of stage, he embraced me and we talked for a few minutes, just the future president, his number one secret service guy Bob and I. I will never forget that for the rest of my life. It will be a story I will hopefully tell to my children’s children ….. the day I sang for and was embraced by the man for all seasons. I’ve made a video to the song which was recorded and performed by the great David Foster (the most talented person I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with, a truly humbling experience). the video is being edited at the moment and was shot by a talented young photographer/film maker called Nabil Ekerland. As soon as there’s something to show, you will be the first to see
Also, I have been heavily back into my photography and will be posting a ‘though my eyes’ perspective of my travels and the tour. There’s already some images from Lithuania (Vilnius) to kick things off. I hope you like them.
Peace,
-?S*!

Thanks for the updates. I have enjoyed seeing your new photos, and it is wonderful that you sang for Barack Obama’s fundraiser. Have a fantastic tour!

“I Wish”……Wow!
Hi Seal, Glad to hear the tour is going so well! I have seen you twice in concert and was both times amazed at how you’re able to shrink the room and really make the concerts much like a private affair amongst friends. Everyone united, smiling and dancing right along with you. I notice you’re always dressed in white this year, both on tv and in the pictures I’ve seen of you in concert. Is this coincidence? The fans you’re playing for have been keeping us in the states well informed of the concerts on the forum which has been great fun. Theres nothing like sharing the energy of a live show to get everybody talking together. Check your forum if you have some down time, theres a guy in Germany who was at the show and shared all with us ,including pictures he took. Be well, Cynthia
I JUST saw your video…WHAT AN AMAZING SONG…an amazing video…A Change is Gonna Come…let’s hope ..let’s hope.

Wow, Seal, you managed to sing for Obama, in the midst of a European tour, no less! No doubt it was an incredible experience – thanks for sharing the moment with us. Now you and I have something in common – although I did not sing for Sen. Obama (lucky for him!), I DID have the opportunity to listen to him at a Town Hall meeting in Berea, OH on Aug. 5th! That meeting will, be forever etched in my mind too, and I wish I could describe the feeling that came over me as I listened to his energy plan speech. It was about more than just Sen. Obama’s words, though. It was a moment in history, and I was THERE for it. I shared the moment with roughly 2,700 attendees from all walks of life, all ages, all colors, who were there to show their avid support to this “man for all seasons” as you so eloquently described him. It gave me great hope for the future, hope for diversity and respect in this country.
I have never seen a presidential candidate before, so I was grateful that I got to use my lifetime political karma on this particular candidate. What a moving, invigorating experience it was, even more so perhaps because I graduated from the college where he spoke with a political science degree. It seemed so perfect.
Now, if I can just make it to election day without having an aneurysm over the opposition’s tactics…. It is going to be a loooong 90 days.
BTW, haven’t looked around the new website much yet, but so far it looks great! I think your team did a super job.
Enjoy your vacation and hope to hear more news soon. And I really look forward to hearing A Change Is Gonna Come and seeing the video. Sen. Obama should post it on his website!
Take good care,
Kristin in Cleveland
