Lily (age 4 3/4 yrs) and I are recovering from listening to the version of Amazing on your website! We had an AMAZING workout – danced like maniacs to your song 7 times through before we finally collapsed. We both LOVE it! We even brought out the Barbie disco ball for the proper ambiance.
After we exhausted ourselves dancing we went over to your MySpace page and listened to the other version of the song. Both great, but we prefer the slightly faster beat.
Now I cannot WAIT to hear this song in person! So pleeeeeeease come to Cleveland (or Columbus or Detroit) so SaraOhio and I can dance with you.
I’ll be the one jumping up and down like a pogo stick – despite my aging, aching knee!
Something about this song made me move like I haven’t done in 15 years – and my daughter said dancing to “Amazing” was more fun than riding her bike or playing games.
So thanks for sharing this song on your website. And congrats on having the song used in “The Amazing Race” promo – I heard it last night.

I’m watching Oprah right now and just smiling because now she and all her millions of viewers can see why we know Seal is one special man! (Ironic how hard we on your forums tried to get you on her show years ago, but now the time is right).
Anyway, I love the “Happy Wife, Happy Life” mantra! My husband says it as “If Mama’s happy, everyone’s happy”!
It’s great that Oprah is so taken with you Seal and asked you so many questions, because usually Heidi is the focus at award shows, etc.
Oh man, now I’m seeing the photo of you with your foster family….and whoa….the photo album and your reaction….and now Hillary. Okay, time to get the Kleenex.

Glad you told us about that Oprah appearance, b/c I woulda missed an incredible interview with you and your lovely wife. I was moved to tears, several times. I wanted to give you all a hug, too! How incredible it must have been to see your foster-sister again.
I was touched because I too regret not having many “childhood” photos. We are camera-shy,so I there are very few pics from those early years. As you said, it’s nice to look for resemblances to your own children. And also to show your children what mom or dad looked like as a kid!
And I am going to make my own Darling Husband watch your interview. I will request that he TAKE NOTES!! Did you hear that collective cosmic sigh when you discussed keeping romance and friendship alive?!?! We could use some help in that area – perhaps you and Heidi should write a self-help book for those of us floundering about.
So now that I glimpsed your life, I am even more dumbfounded that you blog here at all, and that you read what we write! All I can say is, thanks!

I also have an appeal for a Togetherland cd with proceeds going to charity.
More and more Seal fan’s would like to see a cd made of the Togetherland tracks. The monies could go to a wonderful charity like the American Red Cross.
If possible, and if there is enough fan interest to buy the disc, then it would not only please your fan base, but also help other’s in need in times of Crisis;O)

Wow, its so different from what I thought it would be but I love it!

I’m very happy to be the minority here, ’cause I deeply admire Seal’s art and music. After several listens I must say that this is his less inspired album.
I think the fact that it’s a dance oriented album is the minor fact, there are several songs that really don’t catch me up, “Amazing” in first place. There is something in the chorus that really doesn’t work melodically speaking and the song isn’t creative as the high levels Seal has reached in the past . My personal favourites are “System” in which I find again Seal’s magic, and the two final tracks, “Rolling” and “Immaculate”, truly great tracks.
But I can’t get into “Loaded”, which in my opinion is an average dance track, and tracks like “Wedding day”, and “Dumb” are not among my Seal overall favourite tracks.
Stuart Price is a well-renowned producer, but I’m pretty sure Mr. Trevor Horn is the ideal “tailor” for Seal’s art. A quite disappointing return after a four year absence.
But I wish all the best and success for the album.

Seal I live in Jacksonville, FL. Now unless I have missed it or I am mistaken, you have not come to Florida. Now Jax is kinda country(not that country) but I’d definitely come to see you if you’d come to Miami or some part of Florida. Please do not forget us here in the Sunshine State. You are someone who I’d go way out of my way to see. I can’t think of anyone else I’d do that for.

Husband and I saw your A&E Private Sessions interview and then got your new album. Great interview; great album.
Question: you stated that it’s your birthright to be happy. Not sure I get what you are saying. It’s always been my understanding that we are not supposed to be happy in this life, and if we approach life with the understanding that it is not always happy, because bad things *do* happen, then we do not always feel cheated.
Also, you stated that when you were little, you had this idea of what your marriage would be like, and you made it happen. I wonder if you have it backwards a bit, eh? For me, I had this idea of what my marriage would be like as a child as well, and now it has happened. But I didn’t make it happen, it just happened, which leads me to believe that as a child, perhaps I was allowed glimpses into my own future, saw myself happy in the future, and my child-self decided to accept that vision as something she really wanted. And when the future became the present, it was because of destiny, not because of my own efforts to create a vision out of thin air, which being a child I would not have known enough about myself to know what in the future would make me happy, much less how to then go about creating it. Does that make sense?
On the other hand, there is a sense in which we control our lives or our lives will perpetually be in reactive mode, meaning we will get nothing done we do dream about now as adults. I agree with your sentiments in that area, because as adults we do know so much more about what would make us happy and how to go about creating that out of thin air.
I do enjoy listening to “Crazy”–”in a world full of people, only some want to fly. Isn’t that crazy?!!” I do agree, that IS crazy!

I wish to send you my heartfelt gratitude for your song Human Being. This morning, I believe I had a visit from the grave via your CD. A little over a year ago I purchased your Greatest Hits CD. On April 18, 2007 my brother took his life. I must have listened to the song Human Being a thousand times. It gave me comfort and peace. In fact, I often wanted to send you a “thank you”. Two days ago, I visited my brother’s grave, as it was his birthday, February 23. When I left, I drove to a store and just happened upon your CD Human Being. I didn’t open it until this morning at work. I popped it into the CD drive and proceeded to open the front cover. I saw tiny tiny print, but then saw some sections of larger print. The first one I read said,”Oh I have a feeling you won’t have to look so far this time” “You might find the answers to those songs right there in front of you. Good work doesn’t always have to come from pain you know!” “In retrospect it seems that you knew that pain too well Steven.” “Why did you have to take your life?”
I stopped breathing. You see, my brother’s name is Stephen. I still have goosebumps.
