Hello everyone,
I want to start this morning by saying thank you for everyone’s contribution to this blog, it’s amazing that you all find the time to write such caring, intelligent and personal experiences that you are willing to share with me in response to my sharing some of my life with you.
Which brings me to a post from ‘Maggie’ who shared an experience she had with someone who passed away in the Neuro- Trauma unit at the hospital where she works. Maggie, you write so beautifully, we too feel your heavy heart. You’re not alone but please stop smoking.
Thank you to everyone for the birthday wishes, I had a great one with my family in Germany, which is a dream come true for me. Any time spent with those whom you love close to you, is priceless.
Charles and I went to see that film ‘Breach’ yesterday about the time I sent that picture from my cell phone. For the most part I found the film to be poorly executed saved only by the performance of Chris cooper who in my opinion is always great. I didn’t really see the point of the movie unfortunately.
The album is going very well as I mentioned before. During my trip to Germany this last week, I had a chance to listen to the work thus far on the plane there and back. Being up there far removed from contact or distraction adds certain timelessness to the mix, which allows you to enjoy it (or not as the case can be) from a listener’s perspective. They stood up really well I was pleased to find and made me all the more excited to start work in the studio again this coming week. I know Bill, Brian and Eric are equally enthused so the next few weeks should deliver some key components.
Well there isn’t much more for me to talk about so I will try and answer some questions that some of you have been asking. You’ll have to excuse me, as it can be quite difficult to remember a lot of them as they arrive through email notification. I think I’m going to have to devise some kind of system with Charles whereby your questions all go to some kind of pool that I can simply refer to and answer one go at a time instead of trying to search through all of the comments or emails that I get each day. Please bear with me and we will continue to improve. Whilst I remember, you are doing a fantastic job Charles, thanks for everything.
• I think I will do a photography book one day. Thanks for the kind words. I also think it’s a good idea to print some of my favorite ones on a t-shirt if I can find a cool and unusual way of doing that so again, thanks for the suggestions.
• I’m pleasantly surprised at the response I’m getting from everyone since I started the blog. Again this is one of the more positive things about the Internet…making the world a smaller place, a world without prejudice, a world without colour.
• I will definitely come to Houston and Austin in the near future
• Spain is one of the countries where I feel I haven’t spent enough time in. I know I have a lot of fans there and I really hope I can tour more there in the future starting with this next record.
• The guitar you’re hearing in the ‘Loaded’ clip is a gut string made by my favorite luthier ‘James Goodall’. He makes exquisite guitars out of Hawaii and they are my absolute guitars of choice. I prefer acoustics to electrics if I had to make the choice.
• Charles and I have been friends for about 13-14 years but he’s an old fart where as I’m young at heart ![]()
• Yes, ‘When you run’ will be one of the songs for the new record.
• To tell you the honest truth, I’m not entirely sure why my music has not been played extensively in AUS. It might be partly because I’ve never toured there on a grand level. I think when you visit a country it generates interest all round, in the media etc. Anyway, I plan to get out more in the near future so I apologize if I’ve neglected certain territories in that past.
• The tree is a ‘Fig Tree’ I believe.
• You know the song is finished when it sounds like a record. I remember Trevor used to say that to me when we were making albums one and two. He would say, “I don’t have the record yet”. I didn’t really know what he meant by that seeing as the song sounded finished and great to me until I first heard ‘Prayer for the dying’ on the radio in the car one afternoon. I parked and listened to it. I enjoyed it for the first time as a listener and not an author. It sounded different, like it was in its rightful place among the other records waiting to be heard. It had made the transformation from studio song to record. That’s how you know when the song is finished, when it sounds like something that you can buy in a store be it click or mortar.
• I plan on getting back to SA some time later this year. It is a top priority of mine to not only go back to entertain, but to also realize the dream.
• I would like to think that I had more of the sensitivity and compassion of a Piscean however I think that’s wishful thinking. In reality I’m more of a scatterbrained Aquarian.
• Someone suggested that I should ask all of you what images the new songs create in your minds eye and that from this input, I should consider making relative videos, a kind of competition if you will. I think it’s a great idea so stand by.
• Still haven’t had the time for ‘Togetherland’. Don’t hold your breath, it really isn’t all that but I will look for it as I promised…. honestly I will.
I hope this has answered some of your questions, I know there were tons more but I will try and get to them as time permits.
As always,
love, peace & the family,
S.

Hi Seal!
One more time, thanks for let us know what’s going with your life! It’s amazing…
I really don’t know if you read my post about Vera Blanc, at Quickie, but I hope this fact is over.
Brazilian fans are happy to know that you’re intending to come! It’s, how you said, a big dream!
And I’m really excited about your new album…
Thanks…

Hi!Thanks for the answers! This is SO great that we actually can get contact with you!Never seen that happen with other “big” artists! And you even noticed my idea about the videos..
Hope to see in up here in Finland this year!
Yours always,
Timo
Thanks Seal. This blog is tech innovation at it’s very best. Kudos to Bang and H2Orange. Charles an old fart?…hahaha! Isn’t it cool to have a great friend that you can joke with? Who own the Nike Challenge, by the way?
I like the photo. It reminds me of an eclipse of the Sun, or a Vortex”. “Vortex would make a cool song title.
Also, some of your fans comments on an album cover, or in the liner notes would be cool. Maybe a black leather cd case with black booklet and white lettered comments:O)
Bring on the video contest that would be fun!!!
Peace, Janet
Hi , I’m an italian fan and I’m new on the blog. I only want to leave a message for say that you are great and your music is beautiful. Bye!!!!
Dear Seal,
In regards to “Togetherland” being really nothing, as you stated. You really don’t see the masterpiece that you have in your hands. I guess from an artist’s point of view, you are very critical of your work. This is something I can relate to because I’m a sketch artist and I’m very critical of my work as well.
As artists, we tend not to see the works we have done as being great, but others can see it. I’ve heard about 4 songs from the “Togetherland” album and I truly have to say that the work you and Henry did, was phenominal!!!
At the time when you were recording the album and I had heard that wasn’t Trevor involved, I got very skeptical on how it would turn out. But after hearing 4 songs in full format, I couldn’t believe how fantastic it was!!! I honestly feel that you and Jackman topped Trevor with that album (and trust me, I’ve been a fan of Trevor’s work since 1983).
So don’t regard the album as nothing, when you decide to put it up for streaming, people will finally see for themselves, how good the album really was. It is a great and proud piece of work!!!
Hi S, It’s great to hear that you had a wonderful birthday spent with your family in Germany. I agree those times are priceless, cheish them.
Sorry you did not like the movie, it’s so annoying when you feel like you’ve waisted about 2 hours watching a movie that you don’t like….time is so valuable.
Yes!! It would be so awesome for you to do a photography book!! I would buy several, gifts etc.. you have a incredible eye.
I am so totally psyched over the new cd. I can’t wait! When do you think it will be completed, released? Early or Late summer? Also please don’t forget Chicago on your next Tour. I will most certainly be there!!
Thanks so much for sharing your life with us. You are the best!!!!
Peace & Love,
I
Hello Seal,
Your photos give us the chance to know You better, I mean how You realize this world. Thank You!
We were waiting 4 years for “Togetherland” till the album got unreleased, so we can wait longer ^^.
So I wish You a nice, ideaful weekend.

Hi Seal,
The photographs that you take are indeed fantastic.. you NEED to do something with that talent of yours.. Don’t think.. act.
In the meantime, I was wondering whether you’d EVER come to India for a live performance.. western artists are soo rare in our country!
Belated Birthday Wishes to you.. This weekend we have a festival in our Country. It’s called HOLI. We call this festival “The Festival of Colours”.. wish you were here to enjoy as well.
Have a good day ahead..
regards,
Radha.
Seal, you are so sweet to answer our questions! I am sure it is difficult keeping track of them all. We are thrilled when you answer ANY of our questions, so no need to apologize for not answering them all!
First question: what IS that object in the picture? My monitor is so old and dark that I can’t really tell! It is mesmorizing, nonetheless.
Second item: “In reality I’m more of a scatterbrained Aquarian.” Hey, I resemble that remark!!
I am one of those too, sadly, more so now as I get more distracted by my (very chatty) little one. But you know what? Aquarians are compassionate too – we are the humanitarians of the universe! So just embrace your “cusp” traits.
Third, it is so nice that you and Charles have such an enduring friendship, even moreso since you are in a pretty cutthroat industry. And you know what? 44 still IS young…at heart!
Sorry you didn’t like the movie. Did you see my comment last week about the Joni Mitchell documentary? That was a good use of 2 hours. Since I watched it I have gotten interested in the Laurel Canyon music scene in the ’70s. I was too young to care about that music at the time. I never realized that Graham Nash’s song “Our House” was written about Joni Mitchell, in their house on Laurel Canyon Dr. Such a sweet song. I didn’t even know they were a couple – duh! The things you learn…. And you got to work with Joni Mitchell, too – that must have been amazing for you.
Well, enough of my blather. You enjoy your day. I hope your family has returned from Germany (or will return soon). I hope the kids are well – how’s that little baby?! They all grow up too fast.
S~ thank you so much for taking the time AGAIN to share yourself & time with us. We are SO lucky. Amazing what can come to you at 42,000 feet.
Peace & Love to all of the FAMILY
“We were waiting 4 years for “Togetherland” till the album got unreleased, so we can wait longer ^^.”

WE can wait????? Ha…speak for yourself, bro.
Thank YOU for this wonderful blog and your responses! We are so fortunate that you take such time for your fans. We love you! Glad you had a great birthday! Here is to a wonderful year! Cheers!
Btw.. I love this “Family” of Seal Fans
Deef, I agree with you. I have a feeling that a lot of people on here are anticipating listening to Togetherland more than the new stuff coming out! I wouldn’t at all be surprised that when it’s available to stream, that the website may come down a few times due to numerous hits. I really can’t wait to hear Breathe and Step Away.
Hi, Sorry to bother you again with more silly questions!
My husband is a big guy (6′5″ and 260 lbs) and a former runner. He was discussing running with a friend, another big guy (6′1″, 220-ish). They were questioning the need for orthotics when you are a runner with a larger frame. My question is, for your own running comfort do you use any special kind of orthotics or is there a style of shoe that works for you? (I’m not a PR person looking for a brand name endorsement!) I know every runner has unique needs, but I just wondered how you adapt the sport to your own foot and body. You’ve been at it a long time, right?
Sadly, I gave up running when my favorite shoes wore out. I didn’t want to injure myself by using the wrong shoes so I stopped altogether! What a baby, I know… I miss the exhilaration of a good run on a brisk day.
And thanks so much for all the time you give us. We love being part of your “family”! Hugs, Kristin
Hello, friend. I played your latest clips for my kids today, and they were so excited. We all love the music. Your talent truly spans the generational gap! It’s wonderful that my kids have good taste
Many thanks to you and all for your work on the blog. I love it.
Guess who has moved into my neighborhood? Remy! I hope to see him sometime while I’m walking my dogs. And I do look forward (a little too eagerly?) for another Austin visit!
Much love, Gaby (and family)

@ Deef & Nathan187: Listen I meant – we can wait ‘couse the Man has family and his new album!! Should he search for Togetherland anywhere??? If he get some time, he’ll stream it on the site. I just wanted to say, that he shouldn’t make any stress about it, that’s all.
btw, I would pay a lot of money for Togetherland and I wished to listen to this album, then I heard about it.

Got some mistakes in my last message, sorry for that. Sent the message without readin’ one more time.
S… it’s just too cool that you have this blog and arent afraid to mingle with your fans…and let us look thru that window into your life
LO and I agree with Deef on the waiting issue for either Togetherland or the new album!!! As for the picture…is it a type of light in the studio and the mike and its stand??? But whatever it is its too cool to look at…everyones right you do need to do something with all those photos you take…you have a great eye for different perspectives on subjects
Glad to hear you had a great BDay..many more to you !!!
Peace,
Beth
Hello Seal. Saw you at a concert in 2005 in Atlanta… ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyways, just wanted to know what your thoughts are on doing a “strings” album down the road. Just your fantastic voice and an orchestra type setting. I can’t wait for the new album (and another tour) Peace, love, and happiness…..
Btw.. is that a heat lamp that you took a picture of?
Seal,
Let me start off by saying that I LOVE YOU!!! You are the best. My husband and I have been huge fans of yours for many years. Your songs, your voice, and the way you soulfully sing all your songs that are sooo deep….so obviously written and sung from your heart. You have the sexiest voice ever!! We recently got a hold of your concert video: Live in Paris……you blew our minds with your performance. And your band….talent like no other. Listening to you sing “dont cry” (wich is my all time fave) solo brought me to tears….and totally confirmed all my fantasies that your capable of serenading (me) in the bedroom. LOL.
It was so sexy. Now here is the WORST news ever…we live in Boise, Idaho. Yes, thats correct…little ol’ Idaho! You have yet to come this way…and I realize that comin to Idaho, or anywhere remotely close to here will prob never happen.
I cannot except that!! I MUST see you in concert before I leave this earth! At all cost Seal. I would pay any amount for your show…to be in the same room as you! This must happen. PPPLLLEEEAAASSSEE…tell me something…give me some hope….that one day you will come this way!! We are not rich, we live pay check to pay check..so the possibility of us flying accross the world to see you is none. If only you could come AROUND this way, I know we’ll have to travel some what….believe me when I say I would die trying to find a way!! This is my life dream….your music has changed my life in sooo many ways. (another time I will give details on that, I’ve made this one long enough…) Im sorry to ramble here..but I need you to realize what huge fans you got here in Idaho!! Please, please, please dont forget us here in the northwest state as your touring in huge exotic countries…..cuz there is much love for you HERE!!!! Love this site, love reading your thoughts, getting updates. We wish the best for you and your family….be safe and stay full of life and soul! Your music means more to us than you’ll ever know………Jill
First I would like to say THANKYOU for giving us this opportunity to communicate with you.
You asked us to comment on how we feel about you releasing an album with 6 great song on instead of 12.
My opinion is that it sounds like a good idea. However I have all your albums and love each song. It is a matter of opinion as to what is your best work and what is our favourite song so I would hate to think you were holding back songs that one of us may really love. I would like to add that you have some wonderful songs that are not on your albums. Will you be releasing any of them on an album?
I would also like to ask if you would ever write an autobiography?
I have spent many years following your work and have seen you on tour twice with a long 10 year gap. I actually managed to shake hands with you as you were going along the stage at a gig in Birmingham England. If you look at my MYSPACE you will see the pictures I took on that day.
I am really looking forward to your new album and hope to see you when you tour with it. You are an amazing man with an amazing soul. Thanks for sharing it with us. God bless you and your family. Tracy
P.S I love the tree.
Hi Seal,
I have been following your work for many years, I have 4 kids and a wife, a demanding work as a salesmen. I just wanted you to know for all the years I have had the knowledge of you music, your cds have been placed permanent in my car it makes me relax. So I am looking forward a new album. Thanks for still making music
best regards
Peter from Denmark
greetings Seal, Burt again, I have this crazy idea that you and Sade should do at least one show together. There is something that you guys seem to have in common. If you guys could ever come together to record a song that would be major. I think that your styles would be compatible {just my humble opinion}.I know that this comment is a little off topic but I just had to throw that out there in the universe.
fear is your enemy and love is your friend…
Burt G.
Nice to hear you…It is wonderful that internet really can make a world full of love and peace…A world without prejudice, a world without colour… Beautiful words Seal!!!
Thanks always for the lovely words and this blog. You are a nice person, really
Have a great weekend!

About videos…I acutally don;t like them because I like to have my own thoughts about a song…JMO.
I can watch your DVD concerts anytime and go see you perform but videos alter songs for me…
I guess I am old enough to remember what music was like BEFORE “video killer the radio star”. (Now that should date me huh? )
Love,
Laura
*** that should say “video killed the radio star..***
( must get spellcheck on this blog…baahaaaa)
Hello seal, thanks for your time for us, i’ll ask my question again and again if i have to, i wrote a song- it was one among other kinds of media i had to subbmit in order to enter an ad school.(accepted,Yeah!) i ended up not attending that school, but i love the song and at the time i have decided to mail it to you, for you, as a gift, in return for the wonderful inspiration you give to others. i have it and i don’t know how you’ll get it, of course, if you accept it. also, when notified re; your upcoming concerts, will there be a way for us “blog people” to have the privilage of purchasing tickets in advance ? i might sound a bit greedy, i owe it to my daughter (like everybody else..right?)she’s a huge fan, and don’t we just love to make our kids happy? especialy for a cause like this that is so genuin, and comes out straight from her little 11 year old heart. BTW her name is audrey, if you can, would write her a word or two? as far as the images, i believe that if it were TOTALY up to your imagination only, what ever it would end up looking like – it’s you, thats the beauty of it all, there are no rules and creativity is just endless. so when you park your car again to listen to your work (it’s like a code), what do you see in your mind? Have fun, your so together, at least it looks and sounds like it.
With a lot of love and harmony to you and your family,
LOVE RULES,
Tammy & Audrey
Just wanted to say thank you. Your songs have helped me in so many ways. I recently lost my Aunt who was very close to me. She helped me continue striving for my dreams. And now that I have lost her, I find that your songs help in this healing process. Thank God for true artists like you, your heart comes through.
Michael
AS far as a strings albumn….We have One NIght to Remember DVD/CD…and your sound with a full orchestra is really amazing….
I have had the great pleasure to see you perform live three times…twice in SF, Ca and once in Santa Rosa, Ca..all within a two years or so…
( My friend and I gave you a picture frame for Henry..did you ever get it?)
I would LOVE to see you with a full orchesta..maybe at Davies Hall in SF, Ca…just a thought….

Dear Seal, I’ve had a great weekend!
My children are both very happy, my husband also, and its going very well with my heart…….
So wat can a human wish more? Perhaps beautiful music!
Thats your speciality!
Hello, Seal, hope you are well (and productive) today. I had a thought, and thought the other folks here might be able to relate to it. I was thinking about how unique this experience is, communicating with you so regularly. Fan mail for the modern age!
But what makes me laugh is how I can write so un-self-consciously, yet if I were to bump into you in my local restaurant or Toys R Us, I would be completely tongue-tied and shy. No doubt I would say something completely stupid and embarrassing, if I had the nerve to speak to you at all! I once had the opportunity to ask Dan Majerle (basketball) for an autograph, but I had to pass as no words would come out of my mouth. I was THIS close, yet I was frozen!
So as long as I am behind this technological veil, I am o.k. In person, I would be a goofball.
But I bet you are used to people acting goofy when you are out in public. Do you ever wish you could be anonymous? Even if you wore a disguise people would probably figure out who you were!
Take good care, Kristin
Oh, my God !
Don´t forget you must bring your show to Brazil, ok ?
Keep on dreaming with the day I´ll have your new album on my hands!
God bless!
MY MAN

Also your photgraphy is great and breathtaking but please dont ever give up singing. Plan to see you in Atlanta in May. Continue blessings to you and your family. A loyal fan Michael
It is amazing that you communicate one on one with your fans. After seeing you interviewed it shouldn’t surprise me at all. Your voice is truly an original and your personality just makes it that much better. PLEASE COME TO NC (Raleigh or Charlotte)! We love you here! It’s funny how kids pick up on things, as I;m sure you well know. The other evening I was in the car with my daughter and it was pouring rain and hailing. She could tell that I was a bit concerned and said, “Here Mom, do you need to listen to your Seal? I’ll put it in!” Thanks for the opportunity to address you. All the best to the family! Jennifer

Dear Seal: Please Please come to Mexico City. Im sure that thousands of fans are eager to live the experience of your presence, artistry and music live. You got married in Guadalajara, so youre familiar with mexican warmth. Come and play in Mexico, im sure youll be overwhelm.
Seal: what music are you listening to now ? thank you very much for being there.
Dear Seal: why didnt your record company released HumanBeing remaster and with new package? I sincerely think is your masterpiece…(with album 2 and 4)…full of layers, atmospheres, somewhat obscure but passionate…Its your best album. Although, every single album is a masterpiece in itself. Marvin would be very proud of you. thks.
Hi to all Seal Fans,

Dear Seal: I wasn’t sure where to post this, but chose this space. My wife and I are big fans of your’s and wanted to recount a short story to you. About a month ago we chose to use this year’s family vacation to travel to Tampa to see you perform at Morsani hall. My 10 year old stepdaughter is an enthusistic fan as well and Adrienne (my wife) and I figured that it would be a big treat to see you for her first time. We made all of the reservations etc. and the topic of the trip dominated our meals together.
Tragedy happened just 3 days later as Liz (my stepdaughter) was attacked by a dog. Her beautiful face was mangled in the attack. Her upper lip was destroyed and the rest of her face ablaze with stitches. She was supposed to travel to LA this summer to begin her modelling career, but her main concern was being healed up enough to see you in Tampa. Don’t get us wrong, we’re very grounded people. We’re not obnoxious people pretending that our daughter is the most beautiful creature in the modelling world, but the fact is that many agents have wanted her since she was 6.
She’s had her first series of plastic surgeries and things are progressing quite well. She’s the bravest and most wonderful little girl. All she did in pre op was worry about us and all of our crying.
I’ve rambled to and fro and possibly this is alot to heap on the shoulders of a performer, but we wanted you to know how far reaching your music can be. In this case all the way to a 10 year old little girl who’s looking forward to her flight to hear you sing in person. “Get it Together” is her favorite.
See you in Tampa,
Dean and Adrienne Miner
and our daughter Liz Tomer

Hi Seal, I must admit I’ve become a belated fan suddenly over night, even though I’ve grown up listening to incredibly wonderdul music all my life. I would like to draw everyone’s attention to my experience with “the power” of watching a DVD concert. I recently purchased your “Live in Paris Dvd”. I recall quite clearly (as it was only 4 days ago), waking up in the morning extremely sour but not knowing the reason why. I unrapped your Live in Paris Dvd and pressed play but at the same time I had no real intention to just sit down on the sofa and watch it as I had to get my 2 kids ready for daycare/kindergarten.So,.. press play,…. The intro music kicked in, I have a really nice surround sound system (yes it helps
) and within a nanosecond, the hairs on my arms were raised in full flight. My pace rapdily began to slow down and I began to reverse my morning plan. The concert kicked in, and I remember so well, my eyes, heart, bones were working in overdrive, glaring at the Tv and at the same time trying to put my kids clothes on. My son, 4 years of age, already quite exposed to alot of music (im a musician) sat beside me and had his eyes also glued onto the DVD. He said, “Dad. uhmmm… you know this guy looks really cool and he, well, he uhm… he actually writes really good songs, actually really good songs he does.” what’s his name?…. FF to 4 days later. My son comes home everyday after kindergarten and we’ve watched your DVD probably around 15 times the past 4 days.Yes some may say alittle overkill however Your Dvd has taught me many new things each time Ive watched it in only such a short period of time. Firstly its taught me, to expose my children just as importantly to adult music, its also taught me, than an adult and a child can be both sharing the same new experiences from hearing, seeing or watching music.
Dear Seal, Apart from the incredible, sound, presence,BAND !!!,concert, and may I add, its a concert performed with absolute perfection! full marks to you and the band!!You guys are all a bunch of freaks!! Its taught me everday since 4/5 days ago. When you wake up in the morning and your kids are running around and you may not be in the best of moods. Give them the love they need and you will find you will love yourself more. Thankyou for touching my heart with this Dvd and the person that you are. Hello Seal,
I really enjoy your music. I was wondering if you have instrumental versions of your ‘Human Being’ and ‘Seal’ Albums with background vocals? Or will you ever have just an instrumental Album of your music in the future?
I really enjoy all your CD’s. It is rare that I find an artist who’s music I enjoy listening to and that my children enjoy listening to without my hands over their ears.
Please CONTINUE to make your beautiful music that has a unique quality of its own.
You and your family are in our prayers always.

Hi Seal. I saw you on Oprah and I am so compelled to come to your site to leave a message. I was so touched by the gift that Oprah gave you because I never had photos of myself as a child. I understand the hurt of growing up in a dysfunctional household and it made my day to see you sooooo happy. You have so much resilience through the harrowing circumstances that you faced, and you turn out to be such a dear, sensitive, family-oriented man. To be simply put, you are amazing, and you are a model to me that when I have my own family, happiness can exist. Sue. =)
Dear Mr Seal, i’m a South London boy living in New Zealand for just over a year now to be near my ex partner and more importantly my beautiful children i had to get in touch to let you know that i have just heard recently the Shelter Timmy Regisford mix of the Violet track and am absolutely loving it to the max proper class old boy, I remember seeing you back in the day at a hotel on Brighton beach seafront 90-91? with Guru josh and Adamski an absolute top night and one to remember, its been a long road but its worth the walk God bless you my brother and shine his beauty on all you touch, i lost my way partner but im coming back to the music, back to the original vibes and back to love

Okay, I don’t really know if I’m posting in the right place…
I have two questions
1)Do you have any instrumental music available? I’d really like to learn how to play some of your songs.
2)How do you decide where you are going to perform? I’d really like to see you perform and I live in Reno. My dad says you’ve already come here, so does that mean that you won’t come back?
I’m really glad I stumbled across your site. Thanks for your time.
Dear Seal,
You are such an amazing artist and I feel that I have such a connection to your music. Amazingly enough, I first “learned” about you in the early 90’s. When I was 8 months pregnant with my first son, I attended one of your concerts in Tampa, Florida (summer 1995). My son, born in September of that year LOVES your music as much as I do! It truly proves that an unborn child can hear music from the womb! His Bar-Mitzvah is in September 2008 and I am deciding which Seal song I should have the DJ play when I dance with him. Funny enough – your music has become my mantra. It not only connects me to my son, it connects me to all the important moments of my life. You are truly an artist that no one can touch! Please continue writing music as I not only play all your music, I look forward to more!
May you and your family have a happy and healthy new year.
Much love and admiration…

Hi, I´m a huge fan of yours. Writing from Sweden. I think your music are truly marvelous and I just can´t wait until I get my hands on your latest cd. I just love your music and the sound of it.
And a question; Have you ever considered to perform here in Sweden??
If you´re coming here, I´ll be the first to buy a ticket.
Greetings from a cold winterland.
Dear Seal,
!!!!!! Thank You…everything.

Love the new song “Amazing”, but was that written for someone that we would know, or just another one of your creative writings?
With Love,

Hi Seal,
The site is looking good. I have noticed tonight that the flash loads smoother…Thanks!
now, if I could just find the correct code to load a gravatar…hehehe! ****I notice that you have all your albums displayed which is a very cool feature. Will you also have a media player for streaming your live concerts? It would be cool if you could post something special for the fans, maybe every few months…like the rare Togetherland tracks, or music that you have worked on, but not released. ****Sometimes it’s not about the commercial side of music, but the art of making it. Have you ever just sat in awe of someone who blew you away when they caressed a song with their voice, or instrument? I am not speaking of the puppy love, gaga awe, but the RESPECT awe. Some very talented musicians, artists, and writers never see the commercial successes of mass production, and yet their art is a gift each time it is given, in song, poetry, or painting. I am speaking of the art of your music and the inspiration it brings.
On the site::
A page just for discussing your music would be cool. You could talk about the process of writing…what inspires you…how many songs you write in a period of time…which ones you think would be ready for the listener/reader, ect. Then you could post the song you are discussng…the first “raw” draft, or the finished version, and explain how it was done. The fans would love it, and you would please Deef and Kai, and 74 others who have hoped you would let them hear the full tracks of Togetherland. You could keep the tracks up that are related to the songs you are discussing and then change them as you proceed. (no… they don’t know I am writing this).
Also, I think there is a program that you can buy where you can stream live from your site. What could be cooler than a Seal radio station right on seal.com with video stream?. I realize that you would have to have someone to do the streaming, and that could be anyone. Then when you wanted to broadcast something to your fans, then you could make a digital recorder message and send it to whomever is streaming the Seal radio…cool huh? Just brainstorming…you don’t have to post this…hehehe. I’m a dork..I admit it;O)
To upload a gravatar: Go to http://www.gravatar.com and log in and add a picture or photo that you would like to see next to your comments. Use the email address that you have used for this blog. They have a photo crop function on the gravatar site:O) This is so much fun!
Thanks Seal and Sanse!
Seal-
Hello. First off, let me offer my sincerest thanks for the wonderful music you’ve provided all these years. I know you were here in San Francisco recently and I regret not being able to attend the B&W Ball. Fortunately, I had great seats when I saw you years ago in San Diego when you had David Sancious, Micheal Landau and Brian Blade(?) on drums. Forgive me if I’m wrong in that regard. I’ll catch you next time around for sure though.
If you could clear up a debate my girlfriend and I are having about your ‘Human Being’ CD, I would be most appreciative. My gf say that the image of you on the cover is the work of photoshop or something along those lines and that no way is that your physique. I, of course, disagree. I, believe that that is in fact you in totality. I need you to agree with me and tell me I’m right, because I don’t want to give her the satisfaction…lol. Seriously though, right or wrong, I’d like to settle our little debate once and for all. By the way, I absolutely loved that CD. I got so much out of it emotionally and musically.
Lastly, how are you liking that R8? It’s an amazing looking car and I can only imagine how great it is to drive. I have an A4 myself and am a huge Audi guy, but the way gas prices are here, I may have to trade it for a Prius which wouldn’t be a bad idea, I suppose. In any case, take care. May you and your family continue to be blessed. Stay you. Peace.
Paul
