We have one here in Jacksonville called "Treaty Oak" and botanists state it is approximately 300 years old. Its amazing how beautiful people, plants and animals get with age. I love in Los Angeles. This is a fig tree as someone already mentioned, it's also known as a Bodhi Tree in India and was the exact type of tree THE BUDDHA sat under when he received enlightenment. This is a very sacred tree, and I was drawn to it by a series of coincidences. I read the book "Healing with the Fairies" by Doreen Virtue and in it the fairies say you can be lead to a "soul-mate" tree, by the fairies themselves by just asking them. So I did that as I held the book in my hoome and lo and behold, about one month later I was lead through a series of intuitive nudges to this tree. I couldn't believe that the fairies found such an incredible tree for me in a city park! I do not wish to give the location of it, but this is a very powerful tree and from I can tell, after having spent much time with it, that it's somewhat of a "people magnet". I've never seen so many people drawn to one tree before. I'm not sure of the background of the tree, but it must be at least 100 years old! So....my soul-mazte tree given to me by the fairies wind's up in a blog by Seal... who would have guessed. I hope Seal spends more time with it, this tree can reveal untold truths to you. I would even bet that holy men in India spend as much time as they can around tree's like this one. Enlightentment is not for just those who meditate all day... it can be found, with the help of a sacred tree. My hubby (the Big Guy and former runner I told you about) was running on a rough trail and broke the cuboid bone in his left foot! And he had to wear an aircast too, like you. We started talking when he learned that I had broken my elbow (a radial head fracture from flying over the handlebars of my bike!) a week before he broke his foot. So 2 injured people started commiserating about their broken body parts and learned that they had much more in common. The rest, as they say, is history! ( my mom and dad told me they talk to the park groundsmen a lot !!!!!) and we walk round the park most saturdays .its amazing what you miss all around you.
