Quickie

Hi Guys

I do intend to make available some acapella versions of the cuts so that DJ’s, mixers etc can get creative.

When I say dance I mean simply, music that can be danced to and yes, ‘My Vision’ can be regarded as part of that concept.

Yes, I will make sure that upcoming appearance dates are posted here before anywhere else.

Josie McKenzie, you write so eloquently. I am sorry for the loss of your son. I’m happy that you’ve found peace. I am honored if in some small way my music has been a part of that. Peace to you Josie.

I hope I will be able to tour with the same Musicians.

Don’t be afraid of me “losing my sound” due to working with another producer. My sound is in my voice, not in the hands or expertise of any producer.

I hope that the quick response to some of your questions proves helpful.

Love, Peace & the Family,

S.

Im so glad you are going to post toour dates here first maybe i will get a front row ticket next time you come around :) . look forward to more news on that front later. take care luv sue xx

  2. saraohio says:

Yea for the tour dates being posted here first! Just a thought….start out with your slower ballads, then finish with all the dance songs, past and future. Once we stand up, we don’t want to sit down!

About the issue of unpleasant posts,I just feel this is Seal’s room and we are invited guests here. If we were in his actual home, would we be argumentative? I actually like hearing about the music biz from his view, and anything else he decides to talk about on HIS blog. :)

Due to our recent house fire, I will be unable to get to a computer much for the next several weeks..we have to move totally out of the house and that means my computer is getting packed up…wwwaaaaaaaaa!

I want to wish you a VERY HAPPY and BLESSED birthday….

Dean wants to wish you a happy birthday too…(We were just watching Live in Paris DVD this morning.)

Thats really cool about posting the tour dates here first!!!!Then I’ll have a fighting chance of getting really good front row seats!!! Thats if you decide to stop in the DC/Baltimore area!!!LOL ;) HINT HINT
And saraohio .. I agree with your post…we are guests and I wouldn’t want anyone doing that to me in my house….I think there’s been enough posts on that subject and we need to close it and move on to the next happy topic!!!

Seal! Again kudos for being this close to the fans — we can be scary sometimes :)

I’m really really psyched about the acapella stuff. I’d encourage you to take a look at http://creativecommons.org . David Byrne and other artists have posted samples there for people to legally use.

I make remixes for fun, and I made a Human Beings/Reprise mix back when that album first came out. I’m thinking of redoing it using the surround elements from the “best of” DVD.

    Again, thanks!

  7. NxSG says:

    Hey Seal,

thank You very much (about acapellas). You know it’s a nice feeling to mix your own idol, it was my dream to mix one of Your songs when I started mixin’ my music.

So thank You, God bless You and Your Family,

Hope to see You in Germany on tour soon

    a-chill

Seal, you must let dj David Harness do some of your remixes. He’s all about the love/dance vibe. He has an itunes podcast, and check out his one called Taboo Radio starts with a great Jill Scott remix. He’s my favorite dj and your my favorite artist so I’d love to see you two combine superpowers.
also goldfrapp has a new maxi of ride the whitehorse id know you’d love.-bobolicious

Thank you Seal, for answering questions so quickly! I have a question that I’ve been meaning to ask you for quite awhile…on your Best Of Album, the acoustic version of “Waiting for You” are you the person clapping in that song? I have this vision of you clapping in it and I LOVE LOVE LOVE the song so much, I just wanted to make sure I was right! Am I?

Also, regarding your 6 song albums…BRING IT ON! Can’t wait!
    You’re the best!

  10. Janet says:

Any chance that you would consider using a sax in some of your future music;O)? Janet loves a sax…it is very soothing. I enjoy a little jazz now and again.

Giving the dj’s some tracks to mix is very cool and I love the different sounds so please keep the dj’s busy;O)

I look forward to seeing where you will tour next. If you can swing by the House of Blues Myrtle Beach, SC or the war memorial coliseum in Greensboro, NC I will be there!

    Peace and Chocolate, Janet

I love the “quickie!” You are so in touch with your fans. I miss you so much. I will see you soon. Love this blog. So responsive. So real. Looked great at the Grammys, too, luvy. Did the suit coat feel OK, though? You’re a doll, a peach, and a true, true artist. LOVE YOU ALWAYS!

I finished to acquire your Acoustic CD. It’s amazing. I’m a simple Brazilian fan that want to know when we’ll have the pleasure of your visit for here?

  13. jesse_brazil says:

Hope to yell Love´s Divine someday in my country!!

About the coming music videos: I have an idea…
You’ve had a good point not to add lyrics to you albums, because everyone understands the songs in their individual way. I’ve personally have found this to be true, often I think that the song tells about something totally different thing than it actually does after reading the lyrics.
Then the next surprise is often the video: it might be SO different from your personal feelings, that you don’t even like it.

Have you considered about asking us fans our feelings and thoughts about the song before making a video? It might be really interesting to see how different thoughts would arise from different people!

    Just a thought… :)

    Yours,
    Timo

    Hello dear seal,

Wow, to have your upcoming appearance info. posted here first- sounds awsome, does that mean we will enjoy the wonderful privilege of purchasing through the site too?, am i greedy? of course! i owe it to my daughter Audrey, she’ll never forgive me if i don’t get my hands on some great seat tickets. btw, if i posted a question before, should i repeat?, i know you are busy, i’ll just leave a hint – gift song. thank you, and all the best always.

    Greetings Seal!

Hope you had a Great Valentine’s Day…I stepped away from the computer a couple of days and apparently missed a lot! We can’t wait to hear your tour dates…we are praying that you are somewhere in the South! And if you could get Sade with you…WOW!!! I read your questions regarding the 6/12 tracks…totally understand what your asking. I think that sometimes new concepts in these changing times can sometimes be difficult to embrace at first. If it meant more music, more often, then I am all for it!!!! There are truly few artists that I listen to in which I am in love with every single track on their album/cd. I am speaking of those artists that you know every lyric and listen to their cd without skipping over certain songs. I can honestly say that you ARE one of those for me…we never skip over songs but we do have some that are our favorites! I sure you, as the artist, also have certain tracks that you feel are perfect and others that you feel are very good…but not quite as good as that first one…I’m also sure that you are much harder on yourself than we ever would be! Bottom Line…we want you any way we can get you BUT, more often would be even better!!!! PLEASE include the Touch remix on this album…I love this and am sad that it is no longer on your site! I could really work up a sweat cleaning the kitchen to this one!!!!! Thanks for the updates and I still want you to answer my pet question. I’ll just keep asking!
    Much Love,
    LucyMucy

FYI-We can no longer view any of the videos from the Seal IV selection…we always get an error message. It is only the Seal IV videos…all the other ones play fine.
    Thanks!

    Hi Seal…
I had been away for a days, but when I came back, I read Vera’s post here in your blog…
So, as a brazilian fan too, I’m very disappointed with this fact.I think Vera was too incisive… and I realized you got a little sad about that…
But, after read the posts (hers and yours) I couldn’t let it pass away.
As a brazilian citizen, I have to tell you that here in Brazil you are not well plubicized (otherwise NOT plubicized), even when you release a great new album! But I don’t know the reasons…
I suppose that it was the Vera’s protest reason: she was trying to tell you this… I think there’s no relation with your new-6-or-12-tracks album.
I want you to know that brazilian fans are waiting for you here (did you realized that we are frequently posting here now? I’m divulgating your career for everyone I know through Orkut…) and your new work will be well received, whatever its format…

    Thanks

    Hi Seal,
I noticed that your birthday was the 19th. Happy Birthday! I received LIVE IN PARIS as a special gift last week and I have listened to it everyday and watch the dvd before bed. I just want to thank you again and again for opening yourself to be such a conduit of light in the world. Your loving energy continues to be a sustaining force for so many. I know that you realize the mystical nature of the love that we are all a part of and your music reflects that. My two friends who I sing with and I were driving home-1000 miles from Michigan to North Carolina on Monday morning the 19th and we were blasting that Live Album-from beginning to end…there is no end, is there? Keep on being the beautiful loving man that you are for your family at home and all of us who love you worldwide and again Happy Birthday.
