- Outside of public opinion, I prefer the original arrangement of ‘A father’s Way’.
- I don’t know if there are plans to release ‘A Night to Remember’ in the US but I will try to find out.
- Love being in Jacuzzi’s when it’s snowing. Needs to be really hot though.
- Glad you like the ‘Goldfrapp’ album. Funny enough, ‘A Time out For The World’ is my favorite track too. Simply sensational. Trying to get HK to listen.
- The longest I’ve been on a board at one time has got to be whilst heliboarding in Whistler back-country. Approximately 20-25 minute runs. I love Aspen as you can see but my most treasured days, including when I proposed to my wife, have been in the Beautiful British Colombia back-country riding with Ken Hardy, Mark and the great pilots from Whistler Heli-Ski. There have been days so beautiful that I’ve been reduced to tears. That is what snowboarding/skiing is really all about for me.
- I will try and make it to Toronto on the next tour. I have a really great feeling about this next album. I apologize to all the people in the places we never got to on the last tour, we will eventually come and play for you. It’s part of the dream.
- Maybe HK will start a video blog too sometime in the future but right now she has her hands full as you can imagine. I seem to be the technical one in the family and she likes to keep it that way
- You know, adding another keyboard player doesn’t seem to be necessary at the moment because we have an amazing player in Patrick Warren and also it has never really been our intension to recreate the studio record live. I take your point though because it is a valid one so who knows in the future.
- I try to go up the hill everyday. “you seem to be in awesome shape”, I wish I was in awesome shape but thank you.
- I think it’s a lot easier to make good photos in black and white. Everything looks good in monochrome. In my opinion it’s much harder to stop colour photographs from looking like vacation snapshots particularly where flash is used.
- Haha…. I did have a bag in which some of my old dreadlocks were saved. Don’t ask me where they are now though. Old and manky somewhere I suspect……eeeeeeeew!!!
- I will try my best to come to Miami in the next tour. Fingers crossed.
- I am definitely interested in everyone submitting pictures to the site. Not only for me but for each other. I think it would be a great way to further bring us together. I will have to talk to Charles regarding the logistics of it but thank you for the advice.
- My favorite word is ‘Love’
My least favorite word is ‘Hate’ (I must stop saying it)
My biggest turn off is when I see someone talking down to another person because he or she is in a less fortunate economic stance.
My favorite noise is the first cry of the new born. It tells you that everything is okay and that once again you get the chance to be a part of something beautiful. Next to that my favorite sound is that of silence.
My favorite curse word has got to be $#@&!!
If heaven exists and I arrive, I would love to hear God say “buddy, you were here all along!….well done”.
- It would be a great honour if my lyrics inspired a novel. Never really thought about that but it’s an interesting idea.
- I will never release ‘Togetherland’. If I can find it when I get home I will try and put it up for streaming but I just don’t think it’s worthy of a general release where people are expected to pay money for it.
Thank you so much for all of the interest on this site. Your questions are so thoughtful and I really appreciate the time you take to contribute. I apologize if I take a while to answer some of your questions but it really does require undivided attention to answer them sincerely and time is a luxury for us at the moment. Please Know that you are all helping to create something special on seal.com and I hope you’re as excited about it as I am.
I want to take this opportunity to wish everyone a ‘Happy Holidays’ and please be safe out there.
“We are all beautiful”

Yesterday was undoubtedly the most bluebird day we’ve had since we’ve been here especially as the snow was just sublime….it doesn’t get any better. We were going to try to do the helmet cam thing but we were having way too much fun. We rode hard and fast from peak to creek so there really wasn’t time to stop. I really got a chance to see how the new ‘Nidecker Megalite’ for this season performed as this was the first day that I really had my legs beneath me. It is an amazing board and the modifications are just perfect. I think I also prefer the ‘Burton CO2′s’ to the ‘C60′s’ which is what I usually ride, as they’re more forgiving (must be getting old). Anyway, it was a brilliant day, the kind you dream about. S.

Shot just before we set out this morning. Steven owns what in my opinion is the best snowboard shop in Colorado, ‘Polar Revolution’. He’s also a great snowboarder (not bad for an old coot)

- It is snowing so much that Denver International is closed down
- I would love to tour England again as it is where I’m from. I don’t know what the situation will be next year with the new album. The good news is that things have changed somewhat in the music industry and we are less dependent on the record company to distribute, promote and get the music out there. Now we have the Internet so I’ve no doubt that we will get back to England.
- I still keep in touch with Wendy and Lisa through mutual friends of ours, Chris Bruce. I still keep in touch with Trevor who I love and respect, however someone called ‘Bill Bottrell’ who in my opinion is a genius is producing this new album.
- I’ve been snowboarding coming on 14 years now. The great thing about it is that you never stop learning. You do stop doing foolish things like jumping and remembering in mid air that you’re not 19 anymore.
- What’s on my iPod? Hmmm…well that particular day in the lift I was listening to’ Goldfrapp’s’ ‘Supernature’
- You know guys, it’s been a while so maybe I will put ‘Togetherland’ up if I can find it.
- The camera I was using on the ‘Headshot’ image and also to make the little video blogs is a ‘Sony Cybershot T-10’. It’s a great little camera and one that I just love using because it has very simple controls, good high ISO noise control, fantastic movie mode (as you can see), extremely portable and a great exposure override control. I have others that I also like, Ricoh GR digital being one of them but for point and shootability, the Sony Cannot be beaten and this is coming from someone who has tried pretty much everything worth it’s salt. I also use a program called ‘visualhub’ to convert the .MPG’s to flash.
- What’s harder, skiing or snowboarding? I think skiing used to be harder but the ski technology has benefited so much from snowboarding that it could be pretty even now. I’ve never skied so I cannot say for certain.
- I love Nigerian food but I don’t get to eat it much these days. My favorite dish is ground rice with pe-pe soup
I’ll try to get to more questions as time permits.
Love to all of you and thanks for checking the site out.

On the way up the hill today. Now I’m not sure exactly what Shane was talking about but this was the only chance I got today to video blog. Not that interesting in of itself but it is a snippet of my life with my friends nonetheless.
